FutureProof’s CloudScore awarded a place on G-Cloud 8

London, September 29th 2016

FutureProof, a leading enterprise applications specialist, announces CloudScore, its cutting-edge application assessment and Cloud planning service, has been awarded a place on the UK Government’s G-Cloud 8 framework.

Launched in 2012, the G-Cloud Framework seeks to bring together public sector organisations and suppliers who provide cloud-based services. The framework is designed to deliver value by enabling public sector bodies to purchase standardised services from approved suppliers, to date over £1.2bn has been spent via G-Cloud.

FutureProof’s CloudScore service assists organisations in the journey to cloud through the automated and rapid assessment of applications and their suitability for target cloud platforms.

With CloudScore FutureProof have turned decades of experience of application rationalisation, transformation and migration into an easy to use service that takes key application data directly from a variety of established sources such as CMDBs, discovery tools or application catalogues and, using its proprietary algorithm, scores each application for its Cloud candidacy based on Risk, Complexity and Business Benefit. From this CloudScore produces straightforward metrics which FutureProof turn in prioritised plans enabling their clients to perform migrations or transformations with confidence.

Key features:

  • Customer specific transformation scenarios covering Public, Private or Hybrid Cloud
  • Over 60 datapoints assessed per application
  • Proprietary algorithmic processing
  • Interactive visualisations pre-built in Tableau
  • Incorporation of additional salient data including service performance, geographic locations, application lifespan and support contracts

Geoff Davies, FutureProof Co-Founder, said “We’re delighted that CloudScore has been awarded a place within the G-Cloud framework. More suppliers than ever applied to participate on this latest iteration of G-Cloud but, due a more restrictive selection criteria, 18% less suppliers were awarded places than on G-Cloud 7, the previous iteration.
Transforming an enterprise application portfolio is always challenging and the difference in service models of Cloud platforms increases the need for accurate assessment and planning. CloudScore provides this assessment and through powerful, interactive analytics reporting and visualisations provides the fastest way to plan a Cloud migration.
CloudScore will be instrumental in helping public sector organisations achieve cost savings through the rationalisation of applications and utilisation of modern technologies.”
